Every year, dozens of students travel out from NNU to engage the world in new ways and to spread the love of Jesus. Whether it's journeys to Canada, Haiti, Colombia or Ghana, NNU students and faculty look to partner with one another as they support the kingdom of God together.

Crusader Choir & Orchestra perform in South Korea

June 21, 2016

The day after NNU’s 100th Commencement, the Crusader Choir & Orchestra (CCO) left for a two-week tour across South Korea. Led by Dr. Philip Miller, this group of 40 students performed 21 concerts with audiences ranging from 500 to 2,500 people.


Making a difference in Idaho, the nation, the world

Each summer, Northwest Nazarene University sends out faculty and students to make a difference in people’s lives around the globe. This summer five mission teams will be sent to serve in Poland, Liberia, Colombia, Haiti, and Kenya.


What chapel means to me

Inspired by their coaches, Jake and Jenny Perry, seven current student-athletes and Northwest Nazarene alumnus Ashley Puga, volunteered their time this Christmas season to help Sean and Meredith Stewart with One 5 Ministries, and Andy and Jamie Fehr with Wordsower International.


Inspired by unlikely servants

In May 2014, eight students and two professors traveled with NNU to Hope Home, a Haitian orphanage for children with disabilities. While there, the team discovered the challenges of caring for 30 disabled children without the steady availability of running water.


Sharing their talent

The talent contained in the community of NNU is too great to keep to ourselves. Woods End Ministries, a ministry collective of speakers, artists and worship leaders, was started by NNU alums and siblings, Carly and Chris, in 2012. Since then it has grown to include over 15 members, all sharing their talents to transform the lives of others.
